For Lieschen, it was love at first sight.
“She stood out immediately,” says O’Connor. That unmistakable face might have been what drew her in, but the bond they formed sealed the deal. Belle left the shelter that day and never looked back.

The quiet life of a viral star

“She’s not particularly active,” O’Connor admits. “But she’s just so lovable. And funny, in her own unique way.”

“She loves them,” O’Connor says. “She jumps on them, carries them around, kicks them, and then somehow always manages to lose them under the couch.”

“When she hears a siren,” O’Connor explains, “she walks in circles and howls just like a hound dog. It’s hilarious.”
