MrBeast and Mark Rober launch #TeamWater to bring clean drinking water to 2 million people, raising over $41M and transforming lives through sustainable solutions.

After the resounding success of #TeamTrees and #TeamSeas, renowned creators MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) and Mark Rober are back with a bold new global initiative: #TeamWater. Their goal is ambitious yet urgent—to raise $40 million by August 31, 2025, providing clean drinking water to 2 million people worldwide and creating an impact that could last for decades.
The campaign is launched in partnership with WaterAid, an international organization active since 1981 in the fight against the global water crisis. By leveraging the power of digital content and the support of thousands of creators from over 84 countries, the project aims to reach a potential audience of 2 billion subscribers.
The power of the digital community
At its core, #TeamWater demonstrates the incredible ability to combine influencer reach with on-the-ground expertise. MrBeast and Rober have already proven that the internet can mobilize masses for environmental causes: in previous campaigns, they raised over $50 million to plant 20 million trees and remove 30 million pounds (≈13.6 million kg) of waste from oceans and seas.
Now, their attention turns to one of the most pressing global challenges: providing access to clean water in an era marked by climate change and increasing drought risks. The initiative is already surpassing expectations. To date, more than $41.5 million has been raised—already exceeding the campaign’s initial target.
Sustainable projects and long-term solutions
Funds will support solar-powered water systems, miles of water pipelines, and community training programs that empower locals to manage resources independently. WaterAid emphasizes how access to clean water can transform lives: it allows girls to attend school, hospitals to provide proper care, and communities to thrive with dignity and health.
In addition to WaterAid, the project involves partners like GivePower, which develops solar-powered desalination farms, and DigDeep, focused on research and advocacy for water access.
Why #TeamWater matters
Nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide still lack access to safe drinking water close to home. Millions of women and children spend hours each day collecting water, often at the expense of education, work, and health. Remarkably, a symbolic donation of just $1 can provide one person with safe water for an entire year.
MrBeast and Mark Rober are once again demonstrating that the power of the digital community can be translated into real-world change, tackling some of the world’s most urgent crises through collective action.
