Plastic in Coca Cola cans. This is the alert issued in the United States by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which has ordered the recall of several hundred packages in two states, thus causing great concern among Americans

Coca-Cola has issued a recall on certain cans due to possible plastic contamination, as reported by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The contamination issue prompted a recall of some products sold in Wisconsin and Illinois.
The recall concerns 12-can packs of 12-ounce cans (about 355 milliliters), particularly those marked with the date code “SEP2925MDA” and a timestamp between 11:00 AM and 12:53 PM. The affected products have a UPC code for individual cans of 0 49000-00634 6 and a UPC code for the 12-can packs of 0 49000-.
In total, the recall affects 864 packs of 12 cans.
The recall was initiated by Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling, LLC, based in Milwaukee, on March 6, and on March 24, the FDA classified the event as a Class II recall. This classification means that exposure to the product could lead to temporary or reversible negative health effects. Coca-Cola has not immediately responded to requests for comment.
The FDA also warned that foreign objects such as hard or sharp plastic could cause injuries, including lacerations and perforations of the mouth, tongue, throat, stomach, intestines, teeth, and gums.
